Community Guidelines

Matchachat puts you on camera with a stranger. That only works if everyone behaves decently. These are the rules — breaking them gets you suspended.

Keep it clothed

No nudity, sexual content, or sexual acts on camera. This is the single most common reason accounts are removed. There is no "adult section" — it is not allowed anywhere on the service.

Adults only

You must be 18 or over. If you believe the person you are matched with is a minor, end the chat and report them immediately. We treat these reports as the highest priority.

No harassment or hate

No slurs, threats, sexual harassment, or abuse directed at someone because of their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, or sexual orientation. Disagreeing is fine; demeaning people is not.

Be a real person

No bots, scripted behaviour, pre-recorded or looped video, advertising, or driving people to other platforms and paid services.

Respect other people's privacy

Do not record, screenshot, or share someone else's video without their consent. Do not share anyone's personal information.

What happens if you break the rules

• Any user can report you. Reporting captures a single still frame of your video as evidence and immediately moves the reporter on.
• A moderator reviews the report and may suspend your account for 24 hours or permanently, depending on severity.
• You can appeal a suspension once. If the appeal is rejected, the suspension stands.

Reporting someone

Use the Report button during a chat and pick the reason that fits best. Reports are reviewed by a person. Please do not use reports to punish someone for skipping you — false reports make it harder to catch real problems.
